Denver International Airport Parking

There are plenty of parking options at Denver Airport. All of the parking areas are open 24 hours a day and most of them can be used for parking of up to 30 days. If you need to park for longer than 30 days, special arrangements can be made. Free services from DIA even include battery jump starts, help with finding your vehicle, inflation of flat tires and help with retrieval of keys if you have accidentally locked them in your car.

Garage East and West Parking Facilities

These are the closest parking areas to the airport terminal. There is a garage on the east side of the Jeppesen Terminal and one on the west side. They are five levels of parking, all covered except for the 5th level. The garage parking areas can fill up fairly quickly; therefore allow sufficient time for finding an empty space. The maximum daily charge for these parking facilities is $18.

Economy East and West Parking Lots

These parking areas are close to the terminal building and are a more economical option than the garage parking areas. They are situated just outside of the terminal parking garages on both the east and west sides. Even though it is possible to walk to the airport, free shuttle buses are available approximately every 10 minutes. For transportation back to the economy parking lots, wait at Level 2, outside Door 217 if you are in the east side of the terminal. From the west side, wait at Level 2, outside Door 216. The maximum daily charge for these parking areas is $9.

Short-Term East and West Parking Facilities

These parking areas are intended for short-term use only and not for overnight parking. There is a short-term parking lot on the east and west side of the Jeppesen Terminal. To get to the parking lots, follow the signs to the Arrivals Level 4, and you will see the Short-Term Parking signs on your left-hand side when entering the covered arrivals area. Parking charges are at $3 per hour.

Pikes Peak Shuttle Parking Lot

This is a very economical parking area about 3 miles away from the Jeppesen Terminal. To park in this area, exit Peña Boulevard to 75th Avenue, east of the E-470 overpass. Free shuttle buses run to and from the airport terminal every 10 minutes. Open parking spaces are shown by a row indicator sign at the parking lot entrance. Passengers should allow an extra 30 minutes for parking time and travel to the terminal when using the Pikes Peak Shuttle lot. The shuttle buses drop off passengers at Level 5 on the east and west sides of the airport terminal.

To catch the shuttle bus back to the parking lot from the west side of the terminal, go to Level 5, Island 5, by using the exit Doors 505 or 506. On the east side of the terminal, use Doors 511 or 513 for Island 5. The Route A or B Pikes Peak Shuttle bus will enable you to get back to the parking area. The northern half of the lot is served by Route A, and the southern half by Route B. The drivers will assist you if you are uncertain which shuttle is the best to take. The Pikes Peak parking lot is charged at a maximum of $5 per day.

MT. Elbert Shuttle Parking Lot

This is an extra parking area that is only used if the Pikes Peak parking lot is full. It has an additional 9,000 parking spaces. The same directions as for the Pikes Peak parking lot can be followed. Once you have passed this area, you will notice signs to MT. Elbert. Another way to get to this lot is by exiting Peña Boulevard onto Jackson Gap Street, which is the exit after 75th Avenue. In order to return to your car in this parking area, exit the terminal at Level 5 and wait at Island 5. (West Terminal side – Doors 504/506 and East Terminal side – Doors 511/513). The same rates of $5 maximum per day apply to the MT. Elbert parking area.

45-Minute Waiting/Parking Area

This is a free parking area often referred to as a ‘cell-phone lot’. When the arriving passengers are ready to be collected, they can phone you from their cell phone. They can then be picked up at the curbside of one of the terminal doors on Arrivals Level 4. Passengers cannot be collected from the ground transportation area of Level 5.

Valet Parking

Valet Parking, on the east or west sides of the terminal, can be found by following the signs to the Arrivals Level 4. Signs indicating the Valet Parking area will be to your left. DIA Auto offers additional car services for customers at the Valet Parking. These include car detailing, oil changes and almost any other major mechanical work needed.

Curbside Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Passengers can be picked up at curbside outside the Arrivals Level 4 of the West or East Terminal sides. Cars may not be parked in this area to wait for their arriving passengers. Passengers must be ready and waiting when you arrive at the curbside. Vehicles left empty will be towed immediately. Passengers can be dropped-off at the curbside of Departures Level 6. There is signage that indicate which airlines depart from the east side, and which depart from the west side of the terminal. Passengers can be dropped off at the location of their airline.

Disabled Parking Areas

Parking spaces for disabled individuals can be found in the East and West Terminal Garages on levels 1, 2, 4 and 5, as well as in the East and West Economy Parking areas and the Pikes Peak Shuttle parking lot. The shuttle buses are equipped to facilitate disabled passengers. The parking fees at any of the parking areas can be paid for by credit card. Denver Airport has installed a new service at the MT. Elbert Shuttle parking lot that is the first phase of the new credit card in/credit card out service.

With this service, no parking ticket is issued. The customer’s credit card will automatically be charged with the parking fees when it is inserted into the reader at the entry and exit of the parking facility. The same credit card must be used for entering and exiting the area. A receipt is printed once you push the button, after the completed transaction. Parking tickets will still be available for those who do not wish to use their credit card.
